David Lean, oh boy, quite a few of his are favorites of mine. I’d have to go with Lawrence of Arabia as my absolute favorite because it is a masterpiece and I have a lot of fond memories attached to that film (including watching most of the it while perched on a rocking horse I pretended was a camel as a kid ^_~)

“Dood van een Schaduw” (2012), dir. Tom Van Avermaet, was probably my favorite of the 2012 Oscar nominated short films (I loved all of them with the exception of “Henry”). I mean of course I would love something with a WWI setting that has a touch of the supernatural ^_~

The majority of films that I watch are classic films (mostly from the 1920s-1960s), on most Thursdays I watch b-films (usually sci-fi and horror) along with the @DriveInMob on Twitter so you'll see posts related to those kinds of films popping up, I also watch contemporary films though not as often as I watch classics, and when I have the time and money I sometimes watch films that are currently playing in theatres.
